The bag catering to all your fashion and non-fashion needs is finally here!

Fashion Trust Arabia has partnered with renowned Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad and Bags of Ethics on sustainable and re-usable tote bags, aiming to reduce the consumption of plastic bags across the MENA region. The stunning two-piece collection, which comes in two color ways, black and beige, are inspired by the couturier’s latest Fall-Winter 2022/2023 couture collection “Les Arts Divinatoires”, with exclusive artworks inspired by the mystical arts and the enchantment of the cosmos featuring symbols of esoteric spirituality.

“I’ve been eager to launch this project in the region for quite some time, and I’m thrilled to see it come to life with Zuhair Murad whose continuous support to FTA has been unparalleled,” says Tania Fares, Co-Chair of Fashion Trust Arabia. “Introducing this reusable bag is FTA’s small contribution towards encouraging eco-friendly habits that reduce the use of plastic in the MENA. We are grateful for Bags of Ethics’ expertise throughout the production process and hope to witness the positive impact of this collaboration in the region.”

In line with the collaboration’s sustainable and ethical ethos, these eco-friendly bags are made by a 90% female workforce and are sourced from certified organic and vegan material, which are up-cycled and recycled from dead stock material.  “I am so excited to be taking part in this project with FTA. It’s important to be encouraging a female workforce and to be giving back to our planet” adds Zuhair Murad. “The tote bag, reflects sustainability and luxury at once. Let’s all participate in saving our planet.”

Proceeds from the sale of the reusable tote bags will go towards Fashion Trust Arabia’s mission to nurture and support designers from the MENA region. So if you’re looking for the perfect tote that will have you looking your best and doing good, you’ve probably have just met your match! The bags will be available for purchase on Bags of Ethics,  different outlets across the MENA region, including the Qatar Duty Free in Hamad International Airport in Doha.
