Caroline Issa


Caroline Issa was originally a retail and consumer goods consultant with an undergraduate business degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, she met the then-nascent TANK Magazine team in 2002 and left management consulting for the world of magazine publishing, where she has since established herself as an observer of culture and style.

As Chief Executive and Fashion Director of London-based quarterly title TANK (which turns 25 this year) and Editor of the first luxury fashion Virtual Reality  magazine Because, the Montreal native is an established fixture on the fashion week circuit, well-known for her ability to generate retail opportunities for luxury brands through innovative use of VR technology, engaging digital content and brand strategy consulting.

After years of behind-the-scenes product consulting, she has launched numerous collaboration collections with the likes of Nordstrom, LK Bennett, Monica Vinader, Label/Mix and Kjaer Weis. A speaker on publishing and the business of fashion at several international conferences, Caroline has taught and mentored at educational institutions such as Central Saint Martin’s, Instituto Marangoni and is currently a Mentor for the undergraduate fashion design students at Polimoda University in Florence. She sits on the Board of Trustees of Artangel as well as the British Fashion Council, both not-for-profit organisations committed to championing and developing excellence in the art and fashion worlds respectively.
