About Salma Abdelnour Gilman

Salma Abdelnour Gilman is a food, travel and lifestyle journalist who has written articles for Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, The New York Times, Aïshti’s A Magazine, O the Oprah Magazine, Time Magazine and many other publications. Early in her career, Salma wrote articles about style trends for Time Out New York, and has highlighted fashion and style icons in some of her travel articles. Salma grew up in Beirut and currently lives in New York City, where she also teaches writing classes at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism. Her memoir, "Jasmine and Fire: A Bittersweet Year in Beirut," was published by Penguin Random House.
