Gigi Hadid Speaks Out On Turning Down Covers

In a recent interview with Hola Magazine, Palestinian supermodel, Gigi Hadid said that she turns down magazine covers to give other models a chance, a shot at an opportunity that may change the course of their careers. Speaking to the publication, Hadid stated, “There are magazines I say no to because I’d rather give another girl an opportunity to get that cover. I don’t need to do the same cover again if someone else’s career could skyrocket because of it.” By doing so, the model hopes to continue using her platform to uplift and shine the spotlight on other models in an industry that is saturated with talent and also fiercely competitive.

Alicia Keys Stuns in Abadia for Her First Concert in Al Ula

Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Alicia Keys stunned in not one, but two Abadia looks for her first concert at the Maraya concert hall in Al Ula. The day happened to coincide with creative director and founder of the brand Shahd Alshehail’s birthday. “February 11 will never be the same,” she said. “Still buzzing from this incredible weekend. I am so grateful for Alicia for this opportunity. Emergency Room Present their Latest Collection in Dubai

Beirut based ready-to-wear label, Emergency Room presented their latest collection, titled ‘Interlude’, in Dubai. The collection is comprised of pieces made using up-cycled materials, making the items one-off and impossible to replicate. Through this collection, the brand went back to its origins, namely the souks of Tripoli. The pieces stand out for their boldness, unique prints, embroidery and unique materials, namely the use of up-cycled curtains, bedsheets and towels. Interlude follows the “see now buy now” model, a direction that fits the brand’s ethos and aligns better with their design and production processes. The Launch of Al Hayya Magazine

There’s a new independent magazine in town and it should definitely be on your radar! Al Hayya publishes literary and visual content on the works, interests and struggles of women. The bilingual Arabic-English magazine released their first issue this month. “For its pilot issue on Agency, Al Hayya’s contributors engage with a variety of different interpretations of and perspectives on the word: from social and political action, engagement to consent, pleasure, personal style, and other expressions of physical, bodily agency. Port Tanger’s On the Runway!

FTA 2021 Accessories winner, Port Tanger, made their New York Fashion debut this season. The accessories brand joined forces with American designer Laqan Smith for the latter’s Fall 2022 fashion show in New York City. The models rocked the brand’s iconic Summa glasses in a co-ord that was a feast for every fashion lover.
